One of my most memorable life moments was the launch of my Summer Excursions & Enrichment Program (S.E.E.P.) for Youth in the summer of 2016.
Recognizing a need for more summer youth programs in my hometown, I decided to find a solution. With a portion of my college savings- and the generous donation and assistance of CWO Howard, USMC retired, I launched S.E.E.P. for Youth. With the later support of my grandmother, parents/guardians of participating youth, youth, and several community members, S.E.E.P. accomplished its mission.
Activities included baking, painting, scavenger hunt, sports, water-activity fun, outings to an aquarium and museum, exclusive events, and more!
Additionally, my cousin, former Atlanta Falcon's and Jacksonville Jaguars line-backer, Tony Gilbert, served as our closing seminar's motivational guest speaker. (Thank you, Tony!)
