Sabria began her educational journey at Shiloh Institute of Learning- a private, Christian institution. Here, she earned a number of “Academic Achievement” awards; became a two-time National poetry contestant winner and won 2nd place in her first spelling bee competition. She also began playing the piano- at school recitals, around the age of 6 years old.
Sabria subsequently attended New Bridge Middle school- a math, science, and technology Magnet school. Here, she was a member of the Science club, as well as, a flutist in her school’s band. She engaged in many of the school’s community-aid efforts, and became the recipient of several “Academic Achievement” awards as well.
Sabria went on to attend Jacksonville High school (JHS)- an International Baccalaureate school. During her time here, she was a member of the Health Science Academy and Science National Honor Society. She joined the golf and track teams, as well as, played recreational volleyball with her church youth group. Sabria received JHS’s 2011 “Miss Manners” award, and was nominated for the National Honors Society and National Technical Honors Society. Additionally, she was among a select-number of students to receive an invitation to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine 2012- a two-week, summer forum, she attended at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Sabria graduated JHS with a 3.7 GPA; earning Academic honors- along with over $160,000 in scholarships and admissions into all 10 of the in-state colleges/universities she applied to. She opted to enroll into the Pre-pharmacy program at Campbell University. However, being 17-years old- and unable to receive the support (and legal consent) of her biological parents to further her education, Sabria was unable to enroll into any of the colleges/universities or accept any scholarship awards. She remained home, and worked multiple jobs to begin paying her way through Coastal Carolina Community College the following year.
At Coastal Carolina Community College (CCCC), Sabria served as an Officer of the Student Government Association, as well as, a member of the Spanish Club and eXtreme Science Club. She completed the school’s Pharmacy Technician Course, and subsequently enrolled into their Associate in Science degree program. Between studies, she temporarily relocated to Charlotte, N.C. and briefly attended Central Piedmont Community College. A year later, she re-enrolled into CCCC and graduated with an Associate in Science degree. A few years following, she took various supplemental courses, and earned an Associate in Arts. (Some time in-between her studies, here, Sabria was among one-hundred students, selected from across the country, to participate in Campbell University’s Health Profession and Enrichment Program (Pharmacy-option). She would, later, alter her medical career interest to Ophthalmology, and complete an Ophthalmic Assistant (on the-job) training program.)
Sabria's most recent academic accomplishment is a Bachelor of Art in International studies degree (concentrated in Globalization) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington; where she served as the Community Engagement Chairwoman for the Black Student Union, as well as, a member of the American Medical Student Association, Hispanic/LatinX Union, SeaHawk Wildlife Association, Women in Business Society, and College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts Academic Deans' Student Leadership Council.
Today, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Louisiana State University at Alexandria- and will soon simultaneously begin a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.
*In addition to preceded institutions, Sabria enrolls in supplemental courses and programs through Coursera, Allison, and Centre of Education- accredited online continuing professional development (CPD) schools. Thus far, she has earned (or will soon earn) a Diploma in Intermediate Spanish; Diploma in Synthetic and Molecular Biology; Certificate in "Clinical Trials Analysis, Monitoring, and Presentation" by Johns Hopkins University; Certificate in Microbiology Laboratory Technician; Certificate in Youth Empowerment and Community Service; Certificate in Animal Care & Psychology; Certificate in CPR AED & First Aid.
Sabria aspires to further her education until obtaining a/an Master of Science in Human Biology, Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Vision Science, and Associate of Applied Science in Spanish.
When ask why she seeks to pursue a plethora of academic studies, Sabria states, "I desire to be fluent in a range of areas to better serve people (and animals)." She credits inspiration to various Scholars, such as Benjamin Bradley Bolger who is one of the most profound U.S. educators and scholars; presently holding 17 college degrees.
